Experience Heritage, Land, and Ancestral Knowledge

This five-day journey takes you from Risan through Gornje Polje to Cetinje, following ancient paths used for trade, defense, and survival. Each day combines walking, immersive workshops, and reflective practices to connect you with the land, its stories, and its people.

No fixed itinerary — the journey unfolds in harmony with place and season.

Daily Framework

Day 1 – Risan

  • Text: Arrival and welcome. Evening storytelling and dinner to introduce the legend of Queen Teuta.

Day 2 – Risan

  • Text: Full-day experiential treasure hunt. Walk ancient routes, engage with landscape and legend, integrate experience in garden and communal spaces.

Day 3 – Gornje Polje

  • Text: Workshops in permaculture, traditional dairy, soil memory, and forest immersion. Time for reflection and silence.

Day 4 – Cetinje

  • Text: Visit Njegoš’s house, mosaic-making workshop, explore local identity, heritage, and artistic expression.

Day 5 – Integration & Return

  • Text: Closing circle, reflection, and return journey. Time to integrate learning and insights from the journey.

Workshop & Learning Modules

Practical Learning on the Journey

Each day features small-group hands-on workshops, designed to deepen connection with land, culture, and regenerative practices.

Modules:

  1. Living Dairy Heritage – traditional fermentation and dairy processing.

  2. Ancient Mosaic Making – create mosaics inspired by heritage and natural motifs.

  3. Permaculture & Soil Memory – regenerative gardening, soil restoration, food forest design.

  4. Forest Foraging & Medicinal Plants – identifying edible and medicinal plants; cooking with foraged ingredients.

  5. Inner Ecology – water meditation, forest bathing, breathwork, and reflective practices.

  6. Land Art – creative expression with natural materials.
